NEXT plc is one of the UK’s leading retailers, renowned for offering clothing, homeware, and accessories. As a FTSE 100 company, NEXT has a strong presence both online and on the high street.
Having already partnered with WEALTH at work to provide financial education for their Sharesave participants, NEXT were keen to broaden this support to help their employees transition into retirement. In particular, NEXT recognised the diverse range of roles and salary levels within the workforce and wanted to ensure that all employees had access to the tools and guidance needed to plan effectively for retirement. By bringing in WEALTH at work to deliver a financial education programme, they were able to help employees make the most of their pension pots and build confidence about their long-term financial wellbeing.

“Something we are keen on at NEXT is to look after employees throughout their employment but also for the rest of their life. We have a lot of employees with long serving careers within the business, so we wanted to offer them financial education to help them transition from employment into retirement. It’s really key for them not to have worries as they go through to retirement.
The retirement sessions were extremely popular, and we’ve had some really high engagement off the back of them. We’ve had a lot of positive feedback that the content was easy to understand so employees who didn’t necessarily have a financial or pensions background found it easy to engage with. It made employees think about other things in relation to retirement, not just the financial side of it. For example, how they’re managing their time, or whether they would phase into retirement.
